Business Operations Manager
Location: Poland (hybrid: remote + Warsaw office) | Travel: 15-20% (Poland + Europe) | Contract: B2B (flexible)
The Opportunity
We are looking for a top-tier business talent to join Stora’s Executive Office, reporting directly to the CEO (Harvard MBA; MIT BSc & Engineering). You will work closely with exceptional teammates (including ex-McKinsey, ex-Bain, and graduates of Harvard and the University of Cambridge) on high-impact priorities across strategy, analytics, transactions, and portfolio scaling.
This is a high-responsibility, high-independence role in a fast-paced company. If you want to learn how a business scales, develop investor-grade thinking, and take real ownership from day one - this role is for you.
What You’ll Do
You will operate as an analytical and execution engine for the Executive Office, supporting decision-making and deal execution across Stora’s BESS platform:
Special Projects (Executive Office): Be the execution arm for leadership. Lead priority initiatives end-to-end, coordinate cross-functionally and with external partners, drive milestones, decisions, and delivery.
Business Development & Investor Relations: Join the investor/external relations team. Build relationships, prepare materials (decks, models, memos), join meetings, and drive follow-ups to outcomes.
M&A / Transactions: Support the full deal lifecycle: sourcing/screening, commercial evaluation, data preparation, negotiations, and closing with external parties and advisors.
RES/BESS Market Intelligence: Stay on top of market and regulatory developments; translate insights into updates to strategy, financial models, and execution priorities.
Operational Excellence: Help scale Stora’s operating engine: improve cadence, processes, templates, and reporting to increase speed and accountability.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re hiring for quality and trajectory - someone who wants to build and win.
Must-have:
Minimum 3 years of professional experience (strategy, finance, consulting, investments, corporate development, analytics)
Fluency in Polish and English (C1+); day-to-day work is mostly in English
Strong analytical and problem-solving capability; able to structure ambiguous problems and drive to clear outputs
Excellent communication skills: clear writing, crisp slides, confident stakeholder management
Strong interpersonal skills and negotiation maturity
Ability to travel 15–20% of the time across Poland and Europe
Demonstrated ascending career trajectory and willingness to work hard to become part of a major success story
Strong plus:
Experience in MBB (McKinsey/Bain/BCG), Investment Banking, or Energy/M&A teams at Big 4
Prior exposure to energy, infrastructure, BESS, renewables, project finance, or power markets
Compensation & Upside
We are flexible in structuring cooperation (B2B preferred), and we aim to make this a compelling package for outstanding candidates. The package will include an above-market base salary, a performance bonus of up to 30% of the base salary, and participation in the ESOP program.
